The Purely Energy Story

Purely Energy was established in 2021 when Harvey, our company director, noticed that many energy brokers were tied to one supplier, which meant that customers were unable to achieve the lowest overall cost. Harvey then decided to establish his own energy brokering business, which put low-cost energy at the centre of the company's priorities. At Purely Energy, we work with over 30 different suppliers to allow a full scope of the energy market so we can get you the cheapest rates available for your business. We have a strict rule of only recommending the lowest price to the client, which is why we win 85% of any contract tendered for.

Our Journey So Far

Purely Energy started as a small shop front with four employees in the heart of Warrington. After looking around different areas and deciding where to base our new business, Warrington was the best candidate. Warrington has many transport links, cheaper rent than city centres (such as Liverpool and Manchester), and a large labour pool.

In February 2024, we moved into our new office on Rylands Street, which allowed us to accommodate our fast-growing team. A year ago, there were only five of us. Now, we have nine staff members and the capital to grow our headcount to 18. We aim to hire two new employees per month and we are so excited to see our Purely Energy team expand.

Some of our staff members are fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese, which has created wider accessibility for customers with language barriers. Our sales team continued to reach new successes, and we soon had a large influx of clients that we are proud to support in their energy journeys.

As Purely Energy expanded and our client base grew, we soon realised that our customers needed support in additional areas with their energy, not just securing low-cost contracts. We also help customers with change of tenancies, billing queries and meter installations. Due to this, our dedicated admin team was created to ensure we always provide resourceful and efficient services to our customers in all aspects of their energy journey.

Purely Energy now operates nationwide, with our furthest customer located in the Shetland Isles, Scotland (600 miles away!). We are proud to cater to such a wide variety of businesses, from local businesses in the Warrington area to larger blue-chip companies based in London.

Our Achievements

Purely Energy is in the process of becoming a certified B-Corporation, which acknowledges companies that meet high standards of social and environmental performance, transparency, and accountability.

We are also proud to sponsor the NEA (National Energy Action) charity. National Energy Action is a national charity working to end fuel poverty in England, Wales and Northern Ireland. National Energy Action (NEA) campaign to ensure that everyone can afford to live in a warm, safe and healthy home.

We recently developed our own energy monitoring software, Purely Insights. This has allowed us to help our customers cut costs through energy management strategies. We can provide the data so you can easily identify where energy is being wasted. If used correctly, real-time energy monitoring has the potential to cut your energy bills by as much as 20%—30%.
