Full-Stack Engineer

About the role

You will work on the Purely Insights portal end-to-end: ingesting half-hourly meter data, building the dashboards clients use to spot waste, and wiring invoice validation that routinely recovers five-figure sums for our multi-site accounts. We keep the stack small and opinionated so engineers can move fast without stepping on each other.

What you'll do

• Build new features across the Next.js + TypeScript frontend and the Node/PostgreSQL backend
• Design time-series data models for half-hourly consumption at scale
• Own your features from spec to production, wedo not have a dedicated QA team
• Pair with the trading desk and account managers to turn workflow gaps into product

What we look for

• 4+ years of full-stack experience in a modern TypeScript stack
• Solid PostgreSQL fundamentals (joins, indexes, query planning)
• Comfortable deploying your own code, werun on a VPS, not a platform
• Quality instinct for UX details and for when a feature is actually done

Nice to have

• Time-series databases (TimescaleDB, Clickhouse, InfluxDB)
• Energy-industry experience or genuine interest in UK markets
• Open-source contributions
