Sustainability at Purely Energy

How a B-Corp energy consultancy actually operates

Certified B-Corp at a verified 87.6 out of 200, accredited Real Living Wage Employer, emissions targets validated by the Science Based Targets initiative. What follows is the evidence: what we have done, what we report against, and how we apply the same standards to the contracts we run for clients.

The position

Standards we operate against ourselves, and against the contracts we manage for clients.

Most energy brokers will sell you a “green tariff” and call that sustainability. We do not. REGO-matched supply is one product in a wider set, and on its own it does not move emissions or hold up to scrutiny from a finance director or an SBTi assessor.

The page covers two things. First, the standards we operate against ourselves and the independent verification behind each. Second, the procurement and reporting services we run for clients with UK ETS, SECR, ESOS, CDP, SBTi or B-Corp obligations. The 60-second roadmap builder will point you at the right starting framework for your size and sector.

Our pathway

Concrete milestones, dated and verifiable.

Each item is independently confirmable: B Lab assessment report, SBTi target dashboard, Real Living Wage Foundation accreditation register, supplier REGO certificates.

For clients

The work we run for businesses with real reporting obligations

Three services that sit alongside any supply contract. Each is audit-grade, evidence-led, and chargeable as a standalone retainer if you already buy energy elsewhere.

01 · Renewable supply

REGO-backed electricity, GOO-backed biomethane

Time-matched, UK-sourced certificates retired against your meter. Cheap unbundled REGOs from out-of-period generators do not count; every supply we arrange comes with a certificate trail you can put in front of an auditor.

02 · Allowance execution

UKA and EUA procurement for ETS-regulated sites

Broker-routed execution for installations covered by UK ETS or EU ETS, plus CBAM-exposed importers. Spot, forward and calendar-driven against live wholesale prices. Registry transfers handled end to end.

03 · Reporting and disclosure

Scope 1, 2 and 3 inventory, SECR and ESOS sign-off

Half-hourly meter data into automated Scope 1 and 2 calculations via Purely Insights. Scope 3 estimated for the material categories. SECR director-ready submission and ESOS Phase 4 Lead Assessor sign-off under one retainer.
