Corrections policy
If you spot a factual error in a Purely Energy Hub article, we want to fix it.
How to report an error
Email editorial@purelyenergy.co.uk with the article URL, the claim you believe is wrong, and a pointer to the source that supports the correction. We aim to acknowledge every report within five working days.
How corrections are handled
We treat corrections in two categories:
- Typo / formatting fixes. Silent; not logged in the public changelog. Article last-modified timestamp updates.
- Material factual corrections.Logged publicly in the article's changelog with the date and a one-sentence summary of what changed and why. Examples: an updated price figure, a corrected regulatory reference, a revised number of sites, or a factual claim that requires substantiation.
Where corrections appear
Material corrections are listed in the expandable changelog at the foot of each article, alongside the “How we produced this article” section. The first entry in the changelog is the most recent change.
Response times
- Acknowledgement: within 5 working days of receipt.
- Material corrections: published within 10 working days of receipt, where the correction is substantiated.
- Disputed claims: if we do not agree the correction is warranted, we will reply with our reasoning and the sources we relied on.
Editorial standards
Corrections are part of our wider editorial standards, which cover how articles are written, reviewed, and sourced.
